TRICARE Young Adult

TRICARE Young Adult is a plan that qualified adult children can purchase after eligibility for “regular” TRICARE coverage ends at age 21. It is an option for unmarried, young adults OR adult children of uniformed service members or retirees who have “aged out” of regular TRICARE coverage. The plan provides comprehensive medical and pharmacy benefits.

Tricare Military Health System (MHS) Nurse Advice line in the United States is 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273), option 1. It is available 24/7 by phone, web chat, and video chat. Tricare is a healthcare program for uniformed service members, retirees, and their families worldwide. It provides comprehensive coverage to all beneficiaries, including health plans, special programs, prescriptions, and dental plans. Most of their health plans meet the requirements for minimum essential coverage under the Affordable Care Act. The Defense Health Agency manages it under the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Affairs) leadership.

US Family Health Plan

The US Family Health Plan is an additional TRICARE Prime option available through networks of community-based, not-for-profit healthcare systems in six areas of the United States. You’ll get all care (including prescription drug coverage) from a primary care provider. You care provider will assist you in getting appointments with specialists in the area and coordinate your care.

How do I schedule an appointment at Omega Pediatrics?

Your child can be seen at Omega Pediatrics by going to the appointments page and booking an appointment. The appointment window accepts patient’s information including insurance name and member ID, email and phone number. You will also be able to enter the reason for the visit and pick your preferred time.

How do I transfer my records to Omega Pediatrics?

If you want to transfer your records from a different practice to Omega Pediatrics, you will need to fill out a request for transfer of records form at our office or online and we will then request that information from your child’s clinic by sending it to them via fax.

What are your office hours for patient visits at Omega Pediatrics?

We offer appointments from 11 am through 8.45 pm on weekdays, Monday to Friday depending on availability. We also do offer Telemedicine appointments depending on the clinician availability.

How fast can we get in to see the doctor and how long is your waiting list?

Our patients are usually able to get in within 48 to 72 hours depending on the time of the year. We recommend scheduling online on our website at http://omegapediatrics.com/book/. There the available appointments are accessible and parents are able to pick what date and time works best for them. Omega Pediatrics is the only local pediatrician that is open up to 9 PM week days.

Do you accept walk-ins/drop-ins at Omega Pediatrics?

We accept walk-ins however we recommend patients pre-registering online to reduce wait times in the office. Preference will be given to those who already have appointments and walk-ins will be seen on a first come first served basis if there is a gap in the schedule.
