After graduating from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in 2012, I began my career in pediatric primary care in Joplin, MO, where I developed a strong foundation in preventive medicine, growth and development monitoring, and managing acute and chronic pediatric conditions for patients that were uninsured or underinsured.

In 2015, life took me back to my hometown, Little Rock, AR where I transitioned into cardiology. I focused on pediatric general cardiology and electrophysiology, diagnosing and treating arrhythmias and other complex cardiac conditions. This role deepened my expertise in interpreting electrocardiograms, managing pacemakers, and collaborating on comprehensive cardiac care plans. I had the opportunity to teach CPR to high school students through our outreach program. This is where my passion for teaching CPR was ignited. A few years later, I began my business as a CPR instructor, providing training to underserved communities, healthcare professionals and other industries.

In 2019, my family and I moved to Atlanta, GA which was a life-long dream. I accepted a role in hematology, where I primarily care for pediatric patients with sickle cell disease. I am dedicated to improving patient outcomes through advanced disease management, pain crisis prevention, and patient education. My role involves multidisciplinary collaboration to enhance both medical and psychosocial support for children and their families. Working for this vulnerable patient population has fueled my desire to return to primary care.

Beyond my professional commitments, I enjoy the beach, outdoor activities, international travel, shopping, eating, and fitness… the good stuff! I believe that exposure to diverse perspectives has enhanced my ability to connect with patients and families from various backgrounds, fostering a holistic approach to care.
